Many vape components are compatible, which allows you to build your ideal unit. Here are a few tips for taking care of your first vape and all of its components.
The Battery: It is definitely worth it to invest in a good battery. Consider the power and size of the battery if you are worried about a unit that is too bulky. You want to keep your battery away from water and extreme temperatures, especially heat. Also, you must periodically charge your battery. A good battery will hold a charge for several hours and give you warning before it runs out. You also want to make sure that the area where the battery connects to the tank is free of E-liquid flavoring.
The Tank: The second major component is the tank, also referred to as the atomizer, which also holds your E-liquid flavoring. You want to find a tank that is complementary in size to your battery. Tanks come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and types. Some will allow you to add a surplus of E-liquid flavoring to last a while, others require that you constantly add, or drip, the flavor onto the coil. To keep your E-liquid flavoring tasting great, change the coil as soon as you notice it darken, or as soon as you start tasting a difference.
Juice: Your juice, or E-liquid flavoring, is the most variable component to the vape and should be chosen to your taste. A variety of flavors is available including coffee, mint, fruit, chocolate, and many others. You can continuously experiment by mixing and matching flavors to find something you love.
Moderation is key when assembling and maintaining your vape. You want the coil to be screwed into the tank, and the tank to be screwed into the battery tightly, but not too tightly. You also want to make sure that you don’t overfill your tank with E-liquid flavoring as this will cause a spill and waste the juice.
